after cleaning my room (and i mean REALLY cleaning it… it was sad) i feel so much calmer, and so much more capable of taking tomorrow on! bring it, healthy eating
@4 months agoi had no idea it would be that high!
i had melon, raisin bran (with skim milk and a teaspoon of sugar), a piece of toast (with a little bit of butter and jam - the caf was out of peanut butter and i had already toasted it), and then a mini croissant as i walked out the door
best choices in the world? nooooo. carb overload, with no protein. but since i didn’t actively sit down and think before i ate, i just used up 16 points on one meal.
luckily i slept super late, so i ate this around 1pm (hehe) and now just have to worry about dinner and going out tonight
ohh the joys of being on weight watchers!! definitely puts things in perspective
@5 months agoi felt in control, hit below my points plus allowance, and am not going to give into any craving before bed!
i had an egg & avocado salad for around noon, a 6 inch turkey sub around 4, and apple around 8, and another 6 inch turkey sub around 8
doesn’t sound so stellar, but with how busy my day was and how many temptations i had all around, i’m pretty proud of myself!
@5 months ago with 2 notesGoing for a run in -10 degree weather… In the snow. Gotta try these new running tights out!! (And try not to freeze haha)
Haven’t weighed myself in weeks - experimenting with staying away for a while. School is stressing me out more than I could ever have imagined so I’m trying to keep from focusing too hard on the numbers as of right now, and just on feeling good :)
@7 months ago with 1 notewhat kind of editing software or website do y’all use for before and during pictures? i want to crop mine together and then put some text on top… thanks lovely peeps!
@7 months ago with 2 notesAnonymous asked: so today I ate super healthy, then I got home and had 12 about large spoonful (size) cookies. Their made of peanuts (salted) reduced fat peanut butter, mini marshmallows and white chocolate. Altogether they probably add up to 500 calories. I have a fashion show thing tomorrow and their feeding us then i'm going out to eat at rubios (any healthy suggestions?) then on sunday is my show. I want to look good and feel I just sabatoged it. especially with all the fat.
hey!
i TOTALLY know how that feels to eat super well and then go home and “ruin” it. what always makes me feel better is looking at my overall week. maybe you ate 500 extra calories today but how many different unhealthy options did you pass up over the past few days? eating a bunch of cookies all day every day of course won’t help you get to your goal, but sometimes you just need that “release”, for lack of a better term. tomorrow you get right back up, brush yourself off, and keep going. remember that a pound of fat = 3500 calories! you would have to eat all of that food seven times over ON TOP of how many calories you burn just living your life on a daily basis to even gain one pound of fat, so don’t worry - that ain’t gonna happen sista friend.
i had to google rubio’s haha - if it’s the mexican restaurant, always go grilled over fried and go for a lean protein (eg white fish over red meat). maybe check out their mahi mahi tacos - low fat content and low calorie. add a salad and you’ve got a delicious meal!
for the whole looking good thing, my biggest pieces of advice are #1 try not to overeat to make sure you don’t feel gross, #2 drink tons of water to reduce any bloating and brighten up your skin, #3 exercise tomorrow to get your body sweating, #4 werk that runway like it’s what you were born to do!
GOOD LUCK! let me know how it goes :)
half hour run
small pancake + peanut butter, cantaloupe, honeydew, and oranges for breakfast
greek yogurt, an apple, and a kashi dark mocha almond bar for lunch (mmmmmm)
now just cooking up some sweet potatoes for thanksgiving dinner tonight! preparing to get stuffed
eating was GREAT all day then SHIT all night
just need to keep reminding myself that i’ve lost 7 pounds so far this month, and that i can only keep improving from here. blerg. so frustrating that i had a good day and then “ruined” it with how i ate at our staff meeting.
@4 months agoall day was great, ate well, went for a run, etc. then…. for dinner i started out well, but went up for seconds (i eat in a cafeteria every day) and had toast, ice cream, and an ice cream sandwich. i then went out for trivia night a few hours later and had beer and wings. where is this coming from?? all week has been salads, wraps, nuts, fruit, eating when i’m hungry, indulging when i need to. worst part: weigh in is tomorrow! ugh, it’s frustrating, but tomorrow i just had to pull up my socks and move on
@5 months agohow did i not know that this is an olympic sport? fuck so much fun. it’s a campus intramural, so i’ll be playing every week! i’ll also be playing basketball and volleyball. i find it so much easier to exercise when i’m motivated by knowing that it will be fun, and that it will be with friends. what do you guys think?
@5 months ago with 1 notewe’ll see how this goes. i lost 20 pounds with it last summer, and had nowhere near the same kind of success trying to do it on my own this past semester. i’m doing it online though instead of with meetings since the only meeting near me is held during one of my classes… any tips? :)
@5 months ago with 2 notesSoooo this is going around again! Weird seeing it on my dash :)
